Synthesis of nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins in the early development of fishes and echinoderms.

چکیده
Synthesis of nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins was studied biochemically and autoradiographically in early loach (Misgurnus fossilis) and sea-urchin (Strongylocentrotus nudus) embryos. After incubation with [C]amino acids for 5-120 min the ratio of the specific activities of nuclear, mitochondrial and 12000g supernatant proteins was shown to be equal approximately to 6:1:2 in loach embryos and to 8:4:3 in sea-urchin embryos independently of the duration of labelling. After incubation with [H]amino acids the number of silver grains per unit section was on the average 2-4 times higher for nuclei than it was for cytoplasm at mid-blastula and midgastrula stages. At the mid-gastrula the vegeto-animal gradient of protein synthesis was found. A higher level of the synthesis of nuclear proteins as compared with that of cytoplasmic proteins appears to be related to an increase in the nuclear volume and the nucleocytoplasmic ratio during the early development of the loach and sea-urchin embryos.

Expression Cloning of Recombinant Escherichia coli lacZ Genes Encoding Cytoplasmic and Nuclear P-galactosidase Variants
Objective(s) Nonviral vector can be an attractive alternative to gene delivery in experimental study. In spite of some advantages in comparison with the viral vectors, there are still some limitations for efficiency of gene delivery in nonviral vectors. To determine the effective expression, the recombinant Escherichia coli lacZ genes were cloned into the different variants of pcDNA3.1 and the...
متن کاملX-ray inactivation of nuclei as method for studying their function in the early development of fishes.
I T is generally accepted at present that during cleavage in echinoderms, amphibians, and fishes, the nuclei do not have specific functions in regulating development, their role being at this time restricted to participation in the processes of cleavage (Schechtman & Nishihara, 1955). Eggs devoid of nuclei sometimes begin cleavage which may proceed up to the stage of the late blastula. Extirpat...
متن کاملEarly oleate deficiency leads to severe defects in fetal rat liver development
Objective(s): Oleate can be produced through de novo synthesis, which contributes to biological processes and signaling pathways. However, the role of this non-essential fatty acid in hepatic development remains unclear. The current study aimed to evaluate the influence of early oleate deficiency induced by the inhibitor of de novo oleate synthesis MF-438 on fetal rat ...
متن کاملP-52: Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor Promotes The Development of Human Ovarian Early Follicles during Growth In Vitro
Background Cryopreservation of ovarian cortex is increasingly used to preserve fertility before cancer therapy. Recently, studies show that Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) may be involved in oocyte maturation. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is member of neurotrophin family that has anti-apoptotic effects on nervous system. Recent researches show that it also plays key role in...
متن کاملSynthesis, formulation and quality control of 99mTc-HYNIC-hlgG for imaging focal sites of infection and inflammation in human subjects [Persian]
Imaging of infection and inflammation is an important issue in nuclear medicine as it may have relevant implication for the management of patients with infections or inflammatory diseases. In this regard the synthesis of human polyclonal immunoglobuline G (IgG) radiolabeled with technetium-99m (99mTc) by a novel method, via a nicotinamide hydrazine derivative, was performed. The biologica...
